A Comfort Package is an obligatory cost, aside from the yacht rental price, usually ranging between 150 – 600 EUR. Its price usually depends on the overall yacht size and number of cabins.
Consider it as sum of all costs that arise from the simple fact a yacht will be used. It covers personell that clean the yacht, full water tanks, gas for cooking, internet and similar things that are in need of prepairing to have a vessel ready for deployment.
You will see the cost of the transit log for each our Sail Yachts after you select a date for sailing and press the place free option which takes you to the extras screen.
Also from 2024 the term transit log will be changed with the term Comfort package as we are looking to widen the scope of things included into this fixed cost. We are already broading the level of things included into it. Have a look.
Here at Ban Tours Yachting we include all of the following things within it:
Wherever you decide to find your Sail Yacht be careful to inquire what the transit log includes during your booking process!
Often reffered as the „base“ or „standard“ insurance option. Simply put upon arranging documents in our office, you must insure the sailing trip as well. The deposit insurance means you either leave cash (not usuall) or your credit card (usuall) is pre-authorized for a fixed amount. In case of no damages the whole
In case of damages the higest amount you are obliged to pay is the full amount of the deposit insurance. Should some Yacht parts be damaged or lost (hull paint, or anchor, sails, outboard engine, and similar...) the price to cover this cost will be deducted from your deposit insurance, and the rest of the amount released to you.
Here are our 2025 Deposit requirements:
This system is developed in order to protect both the Charter company and the Client. The client, no mather what the damage amounts to (excluding illegal activities prohibited by the law) cannot be charged more than the amount of the deposit insurance.
Often reffered as the „smart option“ or „novelty“ Insurance option. The main difference is that it is formed of a nonrefundable and a refundable part.
Let us say for example that a standard deposit is 2.500,00 EUR. At the same time premium insurance would cost you 320 euros non-refundable + 350 euros refundable in case of no damages. To put into perspective, in case you have damages the Premium Insurance would cost you maximum 25% of standard deposit insurance, and with no damages a mere of 12% of the standard deposit insurance at worst.
Here are our 2024 damage waiver (premium insurance) requirements:
If you decide to pay a small fraction up front you are greatly rewarded, lowered the maximum you can pay for potential damages. A smart investment indeed.
When you experience a fantastic Sailing Adventure you will understand why it is ussual to rent a Sail Yacht mostly on a weekly basis.
It is your apartment and, at the same time, your means of transfer as well as activity area. By simply using a Sail Yacht there are a lot of things needed to be prepared for the next client waiting. Cleaning, tehcnical inspection, replacement or repairs if needed, small inventory check-up and stock-up, water, gas, petrol tanks and so on. All of this costs both time and money and simply put by renting out a vessel for a short amount of time is not cost effective as these, fixed, costs cannot be igonred.
The short answer is contact us with your desires and needs. You can do so here: [email protected]
The longer answer is that it depends on the sailing season, occupancy, type of inquiry (individual or group sailing for example). Any one or all of these reasons can give a different answer. The conclusion stays the same, please contact us with your desires and needs here: [email protected]
When you are renting a Sail Yacht you have to options:
To be able to operate the Sailing Yacht yourself you have to have a valid and accepted Sailing license.
Please take a look at all of the valid Sailing Licenses within the Republic of Croatia: https://mmpi.gov.hr/UserDocsImages/ dokumenti/MORE/More%201_23/TABLICA %20MoU%20ENG%2013-1_23.pdf
Croatia is perhaps one of the top Sailing countries in the world when it come to the sailing infrastructure and marinas. Based on the available data there are a total of 56 marinas in croatia, with a little over 16 000 berths in total.
This means that wherever you decide to go, Island or Coastline, there will be a marina near to plan your overnight stay should you want it. Keep in mind though that traffic is high, and Island Marinas are in high demand during the Sailing Season. I advise you to contact the marina the day before planned stay to be sure to get your berths. Marinas themselves vary in size and amenities but rest assured all of them will have plenty to offer.
All of them have:
Most of them will also offer:

Good question! You can sail all throughout the Croatian Adriatic sea, within the borders of our country. For sailing outside of the borders please contact our sales team.
Rest assured, for one or two weeks of sailing Croatia offers more than you can see. With 1244 Islands, Inlets & Islets there is no place not good enough to explore and experience.
A simple and short answer is to enable all work needed to prepare the Sail Yacht for upcoming clients. You can of course spend your additional night from Friday to Saturday on board your Sailing Yacht within the marina. In the morning you are expected to leave the Sail Yacht by 8:00 AM.
This system is being kept because the Sail Yacht has to be technically inspected. This includes divers, motor, outboard engine, sails, interior and small inventory to be inspected, repaired and/or replaced. In addition the Yacht has to be thoroughly cleaned and prepared for new sailors.
All of this happens between Friday evening and Saturday morning. On Fridays the checkout process as well as diver inspection is being carried out, leaving full info what technically needs to be done next day (Saturday), in order for the Yacht to depart again.
Arrival! Congrats, your first day has started!
If you did not experience chartering a yacht then the insights provided will be of good use.
When you find parking, do not unload your luggage. What you should instead do is find the charter office, and let them know that you arrived. Kindly ask them to give you a call when your time for the check-in procedure at the office has come.
The procedure covers some formal steps that are important to speak about. First is your tourist tax, mandated by law for every (nautical) tourist. Then you have to pick up your Sail Yacht documents, go through the info about emergency numbers, extras if you ordered them ( or are going to order right on spot), Security Deposit or Premium Insurance (damage waiver) if you have chosen to pay it on spot.
When you are finished at the office you will know your boarding time & check-in process that will be carried out on your Yacht. I would like to point out that the time spent between you finishing in the office and beginning on the yacht is impacted by 2 things. One is payable, you can decide to purchase so-called “priority check-in”.
If you did not purchase a priority check-in then it is important to know that a standard charter contract guarantees you embarkation at 17:00. The sail yachts for priority check-in crews are inspected, cleaned & prepared first, then the rest of the fleet goes through the same process.
The second thing you can do is to be communicative. We ask and appreciate when you are able to inform us 10 days before your charter begins about the planned time of your arrival. We also highly appreciate that you inform us in case there have been delays in flights, or during your trip. You should fill out the crew list at least 1 week before arrival and make sure you have prepared all documents needed. This way you have a much better chance to have your check-in sooner than later as all info is known.
In between, see if you need to buy water, food, or drinks, or have ordered them from a provisioning service and are awaiting/checking your delivery. Drinks are always a good option, and I am sure possibilities for lunch or ice cream, after all, it is your first day!
So to summarize, look at your arrival day through these main topics:
In short, yes! You will find the technical support number in your boat documents. Someone from our team is available 24/7.
It is also smart to be concentrated going through the office procedure and on-board check-in with our personell as all of these facts are communicated with you.
